Cassie Campbell

Cassie Campbell is the only captain, male or female, to lead a Canadian hockey team to two Olympic Gold Medals. She led the women's hockey team to their unforgettable Gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, and again, at the 2006 Olympics in Torino. On top of that, Cassie is the winner of 6 world championships, and remains the longest serving captain in Canadian hockey history. In October 2006, Cassie made the history books again, when she became the only woman ever to call colour commentary on Hockey Night in Canada. She appears regularly on Hockey Night in Canada, as a reporter, and on TSN, where she covers all aspects of women's hockey. She has also worked for Rogers Sportsnet, Flames TV, and the NHL Network. She also worked alongside Peter Mansbridge at the CBC for that network's coverage of the 2010 Olympic bid coverage.

Testimonials

  • "Cassie was just wonderful - she was engaging and her message was perfect for the meeting. On the way down from the restaurant several people said to me, 'you know, events like this where we get to hear from such an amazing person is what being part of Coke is all about.' For an international and fairly sophisticated audience to say that is high praise! We are still talking about her and her message today." -- Nancy Gibson, Coca-Cola
