Why did you form an all-women speakers' bureau?
From studying business trends, it is clear that women are becoming more and more present in all sectors. There is a need for greater presence of women role models. Currently, most speaker bureaus offer a male/female speaker ratio of at least 4:1. Outstanding Women Speakers Incorporatedâ„¢ wishes to even out the playing field so that organizations may have a complete picture of the leaders and motivators that are available to them.
I've never used a speakers' bureau before, how does it work?
Outstanding Women Speakers Incorporated™ helps find female speakers and entertainers for people who plan meetings, conferences and special events. After you have decided on a speaker and the speaker has accepted your invitation, we handle all the details. We issue the contract to the speaker and coordinate travel and accommodation. You do not pay more for one of our speakers; in fact, for our services, there is no charge to you.
How do I book a speaker or entertainer?
We will work closely with you to identify your event needs. Feel free to browse our website database for speakers you are interested in and view their videos.Â Please keep in mind we are able to tap into many other speakers not listed to meet your needs.
On receiving your verbal confirmation we will forward you our Client Booking Form outlining the agreed details and our terms and conditions. This document is considered a firm offer. Once you have signed and faxed back the Client Booking Form, we will issue you with a formal contract to be signed and returned to us within seven (7) days, with your deposit of 50% of the contract fee. The balance of the fee is due a few days prior to the meeting or event date. You or your organization can make payment with either a Company Check or Credit Card (Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express).
How much do your presenters cost?
We represent speakers that begin at $2500 and go up depending on your requirements and budget.Â It may cost more for longer presentations. Any fee ranges listed on our website are for a standard keynote presentation, but are subject to change and it is best to call us to discuss your individual requirements. Expenses will be extra and often include airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals, and any out-of-pocket expenses.Â We are happy to help with all these details.
What is your plan in the event of a problem?
We are as committed to the success of your event as you are. All our speakers sign a contract with us. You will be given an emergency contact number and in the event of a last minute problem, we will attempt to find you a comparable replacement.Â Fees will, of course, be adjusted or if you do not wish to accept a replacement, your full deposit will be immediately refunded.Â We will do our best to prevent or minimize any loss to you, our client.
Can I videotape or record the speaker's presentation? Can they sign books or autographs?
Every speaker has different policies; therefore, please contact us regarding these details.
Will I be able to communicate directly with the speaker or entertainer prior to my event?
Absolutely. Once you have chosen a speaker, she will communicate directly with you to review details of the event. Should the speaker not be available for a personal conversation with you (as can be the case), we will certainly let you know.
Do you screen the speakers you represent?
Our speakers all provide references, qualifications, sign a contract and agree to our Code of Ethics before being chosen to be part of our bureau.
